HISTORICAL LITERATURE

It was necessary to establish distinct identity of the Community that migrated to India  in aftermath of partition of the country. Many writers came to fore to retain this identity and demand inclusion of Sindhi language in Indian constitution. Thus an all embracing movement pf ‘Sindhyat’ swept the community. In this background it was necessary to provide a time line of History of Sind to infuse a right sense of pride in members of community. With this aim a time line of 5000 years of Sind’s History was necessary and this ‘ Jhalkoon’ Sind je twarikh joon was written’. As many Sindhi speakers and others are more at ease with English Language another English version was written with additional features as “Brief Introduction to History of Sind’’.

In 2007 Akhil Bharat sindhi Boli ain sahit Sabha an organization to spearhead the movement for inclusion of Sindhi language in Indian constitution completed 50 years of its existences. It was decided to write a historical account of its inception and various activities in different spheres. A book ‘ Sindhyat Jo Safar’ was co-authored by Kirat Babani, Hari Pankaj and Mohan Gehani.
