Biographies are written as assignments by Sahitya Akademi under the series ‘Makers of Modern Literature.’ Popati  Hiranadani was a prominent female writer of post partition period apart from being a proflic writer she was activist in movement for getting Sindhi  Language included in Indian constitution. Kirat Babani was a leading light of Movement for’ Sindhyat’. Sundri Uttamchandani was an emianant woman writer post partition in Sindhi language. Parbhu Wafa was prominent senior poet who had started writing while in Sind. His songs are popular.

Biography of Dada Mekan is Sufi saint poet (1667-1730) of medieval times, He is  Kutchi poet belonging to Kapdi sect. He was so important in his times that shah Latif himself came to visit in Kutch. It is a part of Historical  contribution of dialects of Sindhi towards the corpus of  Sindhi literature.
