Translations

Translations form an important part in body of literature in any language. In every language prose at early stage been to a large extent translations from other languages. In order to have access to the significant literature of other literatures the process of translations is always a work under process. In order the  disseminate knowledge and literature Government of India has set up “Translation Mission Of India”. The book of History of India of D D Kosambi was assigned by this mission to be translated into Sindhi. A book on ‘Natya Shastra’ by Kapila Watsayan was an assignment by Sahitya Akademi. The translation won the Translation Prize of Rs. 50,000 from Sahitya Akademi.

Folk tales of Sind by Pritam Varyani was translated into English to cater to needs of Non Sindhi knowing young students who have not been educated through Sindhi medium to connect them to their roots.
