Sundri Uttamchandani

Sundri Uttamchandani was born on 28th September 1924 at Hyderabad (Sind) and breathed her last on 8th July 2013. She lived to ripe age of 89 years.

Her contribution to Sindhi literature is considered unique in many respects. It would not be out of place here to very briefly recite the social movements and literary traditions trends in vogue of Sindhi language at that time. In order to understand those we shall have to delve into the History of Hyderabad (Sind).
